For me, It's People.

It's true. More than landscapes, products, nature, or sports, my very favorite thing to photograph is people. (Dogs are a close second; they're just harder to capture sitting still.)

Photographing people for me, be it through professional headshots or artistic portraits, gives me a unique way to connect to loved ones and strangers alike. It's a bit cheesy to say, but I do feel honored being the one to capture someone's...essence.

Although photography at its simplest is capturing the external, I've always been more interested in the inner emotions that are brought out by the camera. I use each photoshoot as an opportunity to bring out the best in my clients, so that they feel seen, confident, and proud to show off their new images.
